The lanterns are actually Courthouse Step Log Cabin blocks trimmed with the Creative Grids Log Cabin Trim Tool for 6 and 12-inch blocks. It is all about color placement! All you need is 13 fat quarters for the lanterns, a background, and a block center and binding fabric.
