Cut Loose Press™ has recently debuted a new look! We thought it was time to make some changes, so we've been working hard to update our brand while keeping the features our customers and designers love.
We think you’ll enjoy the updates and look forward to hearing your feedback!
We were inspired to redesign all of our original patterns into a new, colorful format with larger images and clearer diagrams.
The pattern size has been transitioned into an 8.5” x 5.5” booklet; when folded, it is easier to store. The new font and text size used are in accordance with the standards set for print readability. This is also supported by the restructured flow of the text, creating better hierarchy and easier-to-follow instructions.
We have maintained many of the features that make Cut Loose Press™ patterns unique. Our ruler and notion recommendations are featured on the back cover; project type categories are still intact and listed on the front next to the time estimated to complete. Our website still navigates the same, led by those categories. For those purchasing patterns directly from our site via PDF download, your process has not changed.
Printing tips for at-home:
- Once you have downloaded the PDF Pattern of your choice, navigate to your ‘Downloads’ folder on your computer.
- Select the file, which will appear as the 6-letter and 3-number combination listed at the beginning of the pattern description (clp[xxxxxx]).
- Open the PDF and select Print.

Select the following from your print dialog box:
- Pages to Print – All
- Size – Actual Size
- Print on both sides of the paper [if your printer has this feature]
- Flip on short edge
- Orientation – Landscape
